Friday, Nov 8: Attended my Grandfather's funeral

When you hear people say, life is too short to argue, you think these are just words but in reality we can understand this term after certain years of life.

A day before yesterday, my grandfather passed away around 4 pm, and I got a call from my village, "Bade Baba chale gye hai" I was like okay because for, the ,last few years, he himself was praying for his death, he was around 100 years of age, and his body was not fully supporting him to live a free life, and he doesn't want to depend on anyone.

I have seen him getting weaker every day after my grandmother, in the end, his wife, passed away a few years back.

These things sometimes open your eyes because when you see people who are self-centred about every aspect of their lives, doing wrong things, harassing people, and fighting for worldly things, it seems like they have forgotten that they will need people for their funeral as well.

I have realised two things can prove what kind of person you are.

First, how you live your life, and second, what happened after your death, and how many people were there to attend your funeral.

I was getting deep thoughts on every aspect of my life, and I started thinking that we had struggled our entire lives and that, later, we left with nothing.

After completing the funeral, I returned to my home. I took a bath and went to coaching classes.

Yesterday was a day full of realisations, and I was in deep thought until night. Time moves at a breakneck pace, and we are hardly able to cope with that because everything gets fast each day.

Now, I am peaceful. Inside, I want a slow and happy life, not always running behind things and trying to achieve more and more. Because I have realised at some point, we have to stop. We have to make a change in life.

We can say we have lived a good life and nothing else.

While coming back from village my mind was full of childhood memories how I used live there and other things. I can say villages still have pure air but with times things have changed in villages as well.

Reflecting on My Life: Deep understanding
Here is the 3rd chapter of the story, where I have shared how things used to be when I was young and what tragedies happened in the past.

I took some pictures while coming back home. And these are the pictures of my village home.
