I know this is my personal blog, so I don't prefer to write guidance posts on this one, but I have guided many students. Over these years, I have seen a specific change in the board exam pattern and a slight decrease in the sallybus. That's why I've decided to write a gesture post for all students on how they can prepare for board exams this year.

I have seen how chapters from the class 10th Sallybus have been cut out, and in terms of math and science, now only a few things are left in the Sallybus.

Still, students are facing many problems even though Sallybus is too low and students have to cover only a few topics compared to previous years.

Now, the sallybus is limited as exams are comparatively easy compared to the previous year's exams.

So, the question arises as to why students face so many challenges coping with the exams even after the sallybus has been decreased.

The answer to the above question is quite simple: students are facing so many challenges because they are not studying in a proper way, and a lot of things are missing in their preparation style.

According to me, students should make a proper strategy to handle their exams and act accordingly.

I have seen students wait for the last moment for the exams and they wait until there is no time left, which is kind of wrong because it's quite hard to prepare for everything in the last moment, even though Sallybus is quite low as compared to previous years yet it's not possible to cover all of it in a few days.

So, what should be the students' strategy for this board exams year?

It doesn't matter from which boards you belong, whether CBSE ICSE, UP board, Rajasthan board or any other board whatsoever, but this is a common strategy which works for all of them.

Yes!

So you all need the same strategy for your exams.

What is the best strategy for board exams this year?

According to me what you have prepared throughout the year affects you and how much you're going to score this year, but there is something you can do at the last moment.

Here is the strategy

  • First, prepare the list of chapters and mark them as easy or hard according to you.
  • Once you have done with the marking, then first start finishing the hard chapters first.
  • Once you have done with the hard chapters start working on normal and later finish the easy ones.
  • As the 3 levels show how much you understand about chapters, based on that, you should mark them as I have shown below.
Chapter Number Chapter Name Difficulty Level Status
1 Real Numbers Easy [ ] Not Started / [ ] In Progress / [ ] Done
2 Polynomials Easy [ ] Not Started / [ ] In Progress / [ ] Done
3 Pair of Linear Equations in Two Variables Normal [ ] Not Started / [ ] In Progress / [ ] Done
4 Quadratic Equations Normal [ ] Not Started / [ ] In Progress / [ ] Done
5 Arithmetic Progressions Normal [ ] Not Started / [ ] In Progress / [ ] Done
6 Triangles Hard [ ] Not Started / [ ] In Progress / [ ] Done
7 Coordinate Geometry Normal [ ] Not Started / [ ] In Progress / [ ] Done
8 Introduction to Trigonometry Hard [ ] Not Started / [ ] In Progress / [ ] Done
9 Applications of Trigonometry Normal [ ] Not Started / [ ] In Progress / [ ] Done
10 Circles Easy [ ] Not Started / [ ] In Progress / [ ] Done
11 Constructions Easy [ ] Not Started / [ ] In Progress / [ ] Done
12 Areas Related to Circles Normal [ ] Not Started / [ ] In Progress / [ ] Done
13 Surface Areas and Volumes Normal [ ] Not Started / [ ] In Progress / [ ] Done
14 Statistics Easy [ ] Not Started / [ ] In Progress / [ ] Done
15 Probability Easy [ ] Not Started / [ ] In Progress / [ ] Done

Instructions to Use:

  1. Replace the [ ] with a tick mark (✓) to indicate progress.
    • Example: [✓] Done
  2. Keep the table updated to track your preparation effectively!

This trick helps you cover your syllabus faster than normal and can help you score better.

I have applied this trick to my exams and told many students to use it. It works well and increases your chances of scoring more in exams. You should try this too.
